Tiny Ninjas and Like Such As

December 13, 2011

Would anyone like to write guest posts for me for the rest of the week? I’m busy.

Yesterday I drank about 90 cups of coffee, ate cold Pizza Hut pizza, drank a Dr. Pepper and ate two pieces of dark chocolate. Apparently finals week makes me forget all about my vow to eat only natural foods. Seminary is making me unhealthy.

My theology test is done! I think I actually did pretty well! Not because of any actual skill on my part, but because my professor was merciful and made it much easier than he could have. Bless him. Today I am working on a bibliography, Hebrew, a New Testament study guide, and a mentoring project. That’s all.

One of the things I took away from this last theology test was the discussion we had about the function of the church. It was based off of the different activities of Jesus presented in Matthew 9:35-36. Based on these verses, Jesus taught, he preached (or evangelized by spreading the gospel), he healed people (physically and psychologically) and he had a ministry of mercy (by showing compassion). The church — each of us as believers — can model this today through teaching the Bible, sharing the gospel, counseling others and showing compassion for the poor and needy. All of us can and should be involved with these things one way or another.

OK, I know this is short, but I have just two or 40 other things to do. However, as a treat, I wanted to share this video my friends Jason and Matthew posted on Facebook yesterday. These are tiny little ninjas. They like to kick. Mostly at the air. They are wearing padding to protect themselves. Lots of kicks. Lots of jumping. Tiny ninjas. Happy times.

Have a good Tuesday, friends!

My favorite part is the lady laughing.

Seminary does seem to affect the diet. Did you have as much fun in Theology as my wife?

Kristy — I know! Loved it.

Josh — oh, she and I enjoyed theology together each week. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We mostly sat in the back and disagreed. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Your finals-week diet sounds like my normal diet. Add some donuts in there and you’ve pretty much got my health plan down.
